DESCRIPTION:Synopsis\nThe Prescribed Fire Science Workshop Series is a collection of virtual events, trainings, and networking opportunities that will connect fire scientists and land managers with the goal of increasing the pace and scale of prescribed burning in the northeastern United States. This series will lay the groundwork for continued exchange between scientists and managers, including more virtual events and (eventually!) at least one in-person meeting that will feature a prescribed burn (RxB).\n \n\n\nSeptember 15 – 17: intensive workshop\n\n\nSep 15: introduction to New Jersey pine barrens ecology and fire management (1 hr)\n\n\nSep 17: report-out and activities connecting fire science and modeling details to future goals, needs, and actions (2+ hrs, playback available to a la carte participants)\n\n\n\n\n \n
